The Peugeot 102 is the non-variated little cousin to the more common Peugeot 103 – and it is a really really terrible moped… But that did not stop TedFab from making it into something wonderful!
The first and most obvious alteration to this moped was that the lower half was chopped off and replaced with a Honda Hobbit PA50 drive train (rear wheel, transmission, subframe, motor, etc.). The motor was rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, gaskets, and a Honda Express II (NA50) top end for more air flow. The new Honda PA50II replacement carburetor flows into the case through a new PA50II reed block and Boyesen dual stage reeds. The last new part to help with smooth and efficient combustion is the Honda Hobbit “Jammy” performance exhaust pipe.
The increased power is used efficiently with tighter clutch spring and a modified ramp plate. The modified transmission makes this moped very quick off the line, hitting a top GPS verified speed of 35 mph.
The bike also comes with an orange Trailtech temperature gauge to monitor head temperatures.
With the increased power, this bike has also been given beefed up suspension in the front and rear, new pedals and pedal arms, all new cables, new tires and tubes, new controls, new bars, new grips, etc – really everything was replaced when this bike was built.
The moped was finished off with vintage Gold Plasti-Dip, a rare Puch Maxi LSII long seat, gold dollar valve stem caps, and a custom wooden foot board. This bike screams BALLER!!!!
Take into consideration that this bike was built, tuned, and broken in by a great builder who used it as a daily rider; so it is an interesting and high quality build – but also shows some wear from use.
